Dad Bod the New Trend in Plastic Surgery

You don’t have to go far to find a headline talking about men and plastic surgery. What’s missing is context on who these men are and what they’re getting done. Meet 400 board-certified doctors who shared what they’re seeing in their practices.
What Are Men Most Interested In?
42% of doctors said their male patients come in to get Botox or injectable fillers such as Juvederm. Slowly gaining, however, are procedures that get rid of unwanted fat. 27% of doctors said their male patients come in wanting liposuction, the fat-freezing technique CoolSculpting, or a similar procedure to streamline their silhouettes.
Also popular: eyelid surgery, facelifts, and neck lifts. Patients are often looking to stay competitive at work or are back in the dating world following a divorce, doctors said.
“Men are coming [to our office] in increasing numbers to look fresher and younger,” says Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Jon A. Perlman. “This is in part due to their increasing awareness that a younger, healthier look works for both social and business advancement.”
