GENERAL PROCEDURE
Dermabrasion is a surgical procedure that wears away the upper layers of skin with sandpaper or other mechanical means. This procedure can be done under twilight anesthesia.
RECOVERY PROCESS
After the procedure, the skin is very red and raw looking. It will take a couple weeks for the skin to regrow and heal. Some patients may experience dryness, sun sensitivity, and temporary bruising during the recovery process.
